World War II airplane circling above

For the whole weekend, an old plane from WWII has been circling above the bay area. Kinda neat to see something like that still operating.

    I think they’re P-3 Orions, and I’ve seen them flying a grid for the last 2 weeks. Any guesses as to what they’re for?
