On the Gall Bladder
Well, it’s been over a month since mine was removed. If you can avoid getting rid of yours, well that is good. If you do need to get rid of yours, you’ll be fine. I haven’t had any symptoms nor have I had to change my lifestyle.

Not as bad as the last time. It lasted about 2 hours last Monday night. Just in time. I had an appt. with the surgeon the next morning.
I have met a few famous, smart, or rich people in the computer/internet industry…but none of them can say that they have really changed the world. I was doing some research on my recent health problems, and I stumbled on this.
It turns out I heard Dr. Debakey on the Monday Forum program on KQED a few months ago. The guy was just amazing to listen to. He has that voice and candor that immediately conveys a character of humility, intelligence, selflessness, and kindness. The world could use some more people like him.
Apparently my threshold for fats in foods is much lower than I thought… I’m cutting it all out of my diet in the meanttime. The attack lasted about 6-8 hours this time and didn’t end like the others. One other thing to note, although the internet is a good source of information on medical issues, it also has a lot of junk and false information. I didn’t try any of it, but it is hard to navigate through sometimes.
Had a gall bladder attack over the weekend. Worst ever. It lasted 10 hours and I finally got to sleep around 4:30 AM. I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room. Luckily, it worked itself out. In hindsight, the reason was obvious, all the foods I ate were high in fat. I just wanted to mention it because it definitely caused a big change in my life.
